Campaign Plan: Black Mental Health Celebration Coffee and Chat

Objective

To create awareness and provide a welcoming space for individuals in the Black community to discuss mental wellbeing during Black History Month, facilitated by trained and culturally competent counsellors.

Promotional Strategy

1. Visuals

  • Design engaging posters with the event title, date, time, location, and key details regarding the presence of trained and culturally competent counsellors.

  • Utilise imagery that resonates with the Black community, highlighting themes of unity, wellness, and celebration of culture.

2. Online Promotion

  • Social Media:

    • Create event pages on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

    • Share the event across community groups and forums, encouraging attendees to spread the word.

    • Develop a series of countdown posts leading up to the event, reminding the community of the importance of mental health discussions.

  • Email Campaign:

    • Send event invitations via email to local community organisations, schools, and universities.

    • Include information about the importance of mental wellbeing, along with details about the event.

3. Partnerships

  • Collaborate with local community organisations and Black cultural groups to promote the event.
