High School (6th form)

2017-2020

High school was a vibrant, intense period of growth—a time when I discovered my strengths, challenged my limits, and uncovered what truly drives me. Every opportunity I pursued, from internships to leadership roles, was fuelled by a clear goal: to build the future I wanted. I pushed myself to achieve more, not just academically but through hands-on experiences that shaped my skills and mindset.

I did a lot independently, but I also learned how to collaborate effectively, understanding that the best outcomes often come from working productively with others. This was when I realised I wouldn’t settle for anything less than excellence—because when you know what you’re capable of, "good enough" stops being an option.

What I Did:

  • German School Exchange: Lived and studied in Germany, broadening my cultural perspective and improving my language skills.

  • ATOS Internships & Academies: Joined technical workshops covering hardware, software, cloud computing, and advanced Excel, laying the groundwork for my future projects.

  • Language Certifications: Earned official certifications in both English and German, reinforcing my communication abilities.

  • Leadership: Ran a student union campaign originally aimed at the Website Officer role but was elected Head of the Student Union due to the strength of my campaign strategy.

  • Driving License: Achieved my driving license while balancing school, internships, and personal development.

  • Travel & Exploration: Spent summers traveling across Europe, attending camps and discovering new cultures.

What I Learned:

  1. Leadership through Initiative: Success in the student union campaign taught me that good ideas, when communicated effectively, can inspire action.

  2. Balance Builds Resilience: Juggling studies, certifications, and extracurriculars showed me the importance of time management and adaptability.

  3. Curiosity Drives Growth: Whether learning a new skill or navigating a foreign city, I discovered that stepping outside your comfort zone is where real growth happens.

This period wasn’t just about ticking boxes; it was about figuring out who I wanted to become. It shaped my belief that learning shouldn’t be confined to set hours—that the real breakthroughs happen when you pursue what excites you beyond the classroom.
